Your Lady Tigers defeated the Har-Ber Lady Wildcats 5-1 last night in a tense conference game at home. Goals by Anna Passmore, Sydney Suggs and Megan Gotwalt(2), as well as an own goal by Har-Ber, secured the victory for Bentonville.

Conditions were challenging for both teams, the field slick with a light rain, which threatened to cause problems for both teams. Your Lady Tigers, however, didn't let that stop them, and in the 4th minute, Anna Passmore scored on a tap-in after good work down the left by Sydney Suggs, Ginger Olson and Sara Roberts. And seven minutes after that, a well placed corner by Madison Howard allowed Sydney Suggs to get on the scoresheet with a fine header. And just six minutes before halftime, a scything through ball by Ginger Olson gave Megan Gotwalt the perfect opportunity to get a goal, with a fine 1v1 finish.

After halftime, the Har-Ber Lady Wildcats came out fighting, and a fine corner kick header goal of their own narrowed that gap to 3-1. However, some rugged defending by your Lady Tigers, including Goalkeeper Maddee East and defenders Emma Jenkins, Carrie Kotoucek, Taylor Muff, Brianna Willis, Megan Sattler, Kinzie Stanphill and Emma Luebker insured that Har-Ber would not threaten again. And with seven minutes left, Bentonville added to the scoreline, with an own-goal by a Har-Ber defender. And with just 4.4 seconds left, a solid tap-in by Gotwalt for her second goal of the game gave Bentonville the victory.

Your Lady Tigers play again today against the Springdale Bulldogs at home. JV plays at 4:00pm, followed by Varsity at 5:30pm. Thanks to everyone who came out last night to brave the conditions! We appreciate your support!
